WP3: Liquid-solid interfaces (Lead: Clare Grey)

Our approach will target the substitution of costly Vanadium based redox-flow batteries (VRFB) by using low cost and environmentally friendly organic and inorganic systems as redox active electrolytes.

The focus is on both new materials and new electrode structures.

We will synthesise and study redox active molecules capable of 2 or more electron redox processes.
