Biography:

Grant is the 'systems integrator' researcher on the Foreseer project at the University of Cambridge, which examines interactions between regional energy, land and water resources. In addition to systems integration work, he focuses on data estimation in multiplex networks. Previously he was the Coordinator of the Energy@Cambridge Initiative, working to coordinate multidisciplinary energy-related research within the University of Cambridge. He also was the Programme Manager at the Cambridge Centre for Energy Studies, managing research projects investigating the future of energy security and its links to the global environment and resource systems. Grant’s own research interests focus on resource dynamics, earth observation systems, decision support, and the nexus between technology and policy. Grant has earned his M.Phil. in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and his M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to coming to the University of Cambridge, he worked in government and university on fuel cell design, nuclear chemistry, and security studies.
