The Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (C-EENRG) and the Cambridge University Brazilian Society

(CUBS) are pleased to invite you to a talk on 'Food, Water, and Energy in the Context of Climate Change: Major World Challenges of the XXI century' given by Benny Dembitzer, Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Managing Director of Grassroots Africa.

 

The talk will be introduced by the speeches of:

 

Mr. Issa Ibrahim Berchin and Prof. José Baltazar Guerra, UNISUL, Brazil on 'Higher Education Institutions as catalysts of innovations for sustainable development: The Role of Education for Sustainable Development in Universities'.

 

Mr. João Marcelo Pereira and Prof. José Baltazar Guerra, UNISUL, Brazil on 'The Water, Energy and Food Nexus approach and Brazilian public policies in the context of Sustainable Development Goals'.

 

Prof. Celso Lopes de Albuquerque and Prof. Rafael Ávila Faraco , UNISUL, Brazil on 'Mineral Extraction – Environmental Impacts and Solutions: A case study from the South of Brazil'.

 

The talks will be held on Wednesday 5 April, 4-6 pm, in the Gordon Cameron Lecture Theatre at Fitzwilliam College. The talks will be followed by drinks at the Eagle at 7 pm.
