What numbers describe our energy consumption? How can we plan to reduce them, personally and at a whole-world scale? Will nuclear power save the day? Can fossil fuels be sustainable? Can one person's actions make a difference to all our futures?
David Mackay spent 5 years as the Chief Scientific Advisor for the Department of Energy and Climate Change. He currently holds the Regius Professorship of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and has an Erdös number of 2.
