A virtual workshop that aims to support early and mid career researchers within energy research who want to submit fellowship applications.

Following demand from our ECR community, UKERC is setting up a virtual workshop that will tackle fellowship applications as a part of your research career development. There are many different fellowship schemes in circulation for early career energy researchers, and while this workshop will not be tailored for any one scheme, we will explore themes and issues that apply generally to fellowship applications regardless of the scheme.

The workshop is led by Elizabeth Adams of Scafell Coaching, who delivered our Proposal writing workshop that took place in Lancaster in March. Elizabeth has 15 years of experience from academia where she has supported research careers. The workshop will also include three current or past fellowship holders, who are keen to share their experiences with the workshop participants. They are: Dr Philipp Grunewald (former EPSRC Energy Programme Fellow); Dr Jethro Browell (former EPSRC Innovation Fellow); Dr Caroline Kuzemko (former ESRC Future Research Leaders Fellow); Dr Panagiotis Papadopoulos (current UKRI Future Leaders Fellow) and Dr Matt Deakin (current RAEng Research Fellow).
