Interdisciplinary Research Centre

Date:
Saturday, 16 March, 2024 - 10:00 to 14:00
Event location:
Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Philippa Fawcett Drive, CB3 0AS

Join us for a presentation in our Business Lounge to explain how carbon-free, ammonia energy can shape the future, followed by a live hydrogen ignition demonstration on the balcony outside the lounge.

In our presentation, we present some background information on how climate change means we need to find a carbon-free fuel, and how a few millilitres of liquid ammonia has as much energy as an entire balloon of hydrogen gas. We will also talk about our day-to-day experiments as scientists. There will be a Q&A session at the end.

Four one-hour demonstrations starting at: 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm.
