BE SIG: Circular Economy in the Built Environment

As outlined by the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, a circular economy is based on three principles: eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials (at their highest value) and regenerate nature. During this session, panellists will discuss why and how circular economy is applicable to the built environment. The challenges faced adopting these principles will be highlighted alongside suggestions on what is needed for stakeholders to stop thinking linearly and how the built environment can learn from other sectors.
