Join us in the exploration of light: from activation of molecular reactions to the cell imaging and early detection of cancer. This interactive activity will be a unique sensory experience.
A video installation by Cambridge artist Diana Scarborough, assembled using real-life experimental data and images, will guide you through the world of light-activated (bio)molecular and nano events. While hands-on experiments will show you how light can be transformed into chemical energy, and how novel materials can be used to produce light.
From rainbow nanoparticles to glow-in-the-dark plant pigments. Let there be light!
Suitable for ages: 5+ years.
