Date:
Thursday, 9 June, 2022 - 10:00 to 17:30
Event location:
The Cambridge Union, 9A Bridge Street Cambridge CB2 1UB

This year’s conference is tackling the theme of Energy Transition over the Next Decade.

With so much emphasis placed on 2050 net-zero targets, we want to highlight the immediacy of some of the most enticing opportunities for our generation entering the workplace. The conference will be held on June 9th at the Cambridge Union and we hope you can make it to a day of networking and speeches.

Tickets are available with a “pay-what-you-want” donation basis, with all proceeds going towards purchasing carbon credits via the Cambridge Centre for Carbon Credits’ (4C). This organization’s purpose it to create a decentralised marketplace for directly funding environmental-based projects (you can find out more at https://4c.cst.cam.ac.uk/ ).

The purpose of this yearly event is to bring together energy professionals, academics, students, and other interested parties in an environment conducive to the sharing of knowledge and experiences.

We hope to initiate dialogues on the role of technology in shaping the future of the energy landscape and garner a pool of knowledge about the current state of different aspects of global energy options, the clean technology industry, circular economy, and climate change.

The themes of this year’s energy conference focus on Grid Modernisation, Emerging Technologies, and their respective financing efforts required towards commercialisation.

We hope you can join us for this interesing discussion. There will be lots of professional networking, food and drinks!
