The transition of new energy solutions from lab to industry is key to meet our net-zero targets. However, many promising technologies get stuck in the so called "valley of death" between university research and industrial development. This panel discussion looks specifically at this problem for commercialising Li-Ion batteries. We will cover different challenges with scaling-up anodes, cathodes and electrode production, as well as sustainability issues related to manufacturing batteries at scale.
