Faraday Institution Battery Characterisation Project: new, novel techniques for the advanced characterisation of battery materials

This event showcases several new, cutting-edge, analytical techniques developed for the improved characterisation of battery materials. These techniques provide new measurement capabilities and enhanced options for in-situ studies and measurements under operando conditions. The day will include presentations on advanced imaging techniques, high resolution combined imaging and chemical speciation measurements, and will include discussion of optimised sample preparation for the study of highly reactive battery materials. The presentations will include experimental case studies of these techniques applied to current and topical battery chemistry materials.

The event is open to all, however, only UK based academic and industrial researchers will be eligible to attend the event in-person. All Characterisation and FI Researchers will be guaranteed an in-person ticket (registration required) but due to COVID restrictions limiting the number of delegates at the venue, any remaining in-person tickets are by application only and by applying for a ticket does not guarantee you a place. The closing date for in-person ticket applications is Tuesday 31st August and we will confirm on Friday 3rd September if you have a ticket. If we are not able to allocate you a ticket, you will be offered an online ticket.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided to in-person ticket holders, but any accommodation needs should be booked directly by you. (FI Researchers and Steering Group will be able to claim their accommodation expenses up to £100).

Any researchers can apply for an online ticket, where the closing date for registration is 8th September. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/faraday-institution-battery-characterisat...
