Materials are the building blocks of society, yet the industrial sector is responsible for nearly 40% of global carbon dioxide emissions.  The top three emitters — steel, cement and chemicals — are among the most challenging to decarbonise, due to high operating temperatures, process reaction emissions, and lock-in barriers relating to expensive and long-lived capital assets. This panel session will explore options to decarbonise these energy-intensive industries
