Light Harvesting SIG: Space-based solar power

Space-based solar power is the concept of harvesting solar photons in Earth orbiting solar farms and efficiently transmitting power to targeted terrestrial locations. This offers remote and flexible power delivery, day and night, in all weathers, making it a compelling prospect to contribute towards net zero goals. Recent advances in space technologies make this ambitious prospect more feasible and potentially economical, however many development challenges remain.
