Energy Transitions Research at the University of Cambridge

Date:
Saturday, 3 April, 2021 - 14:00 to 15:00
Event location:
Online

In this interactive workshop we will talk about where the energy which powers our lights comes from, and why some light bulbs waste lots of energy.

We'll explain different materials used to make light bulbs and think about which ones waste least energy and why.

Finally, we'll help you make a special spinning toy, which will let you explore how energy is wasted in your home, with help from your grownup!

A pre-recorded talk will be available throughout the Cambridge Festival and a live Q&A session will take place (via Zoom) at 2 pm on the 3rd of April
