Harriet Fear MBE was a Foreign Office diplomat for over 20 years. She has served as the Prime Minister's Business Ambassador for Life Sciences, headed a UK trade team, and led One Nucleus to become the largest life science and healthcare membership body in Europe. Today, she is Director of Harriet Fear Associates, as well as Chair of Cambridge Ahead, Chair of Cambridge Science Centre, and Governor at Anglia Ruskin University.

At this event, Harriet will share insights from her distinguished career and offer advice to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to make climate action their business.

Find the Student Services Centre on the New Museums Site. The entrance is nearest Bene't Street (at ///origin.saves.woods on what3words). Go down the ground-floor hallway past reception until you reach Exam Hall C.


The Cambridge Climate Challenge empowers postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers to take their first steps in climate entrepreneurship, or to progress early-stage ventures toward real-world impact.

The Cambridge Climate Challenge is run by Cambridge Zero in partnership with Carbon13Cambridge Enterprise, the Maxwell CentreEnergy IRCKing’s Entrepreneurship Lab, and CISL Canopy.

Carbon13 sponsors this year's competition. They build and back ventures which address the climate emergency and Earth's critical life support systems.
