Evidence-based public policy decisions are frequently made with the support of academic research outputs. Due to pressing nature of decarbonisation targets, coupled with recent change in UK government, we can expect a flurry of implementation decisions to be made in the coming months and years. As an academic community, we need to be ready to engage in this process.
Join us for an online panel discussion as we hear from a selection of UK government department representatives on their immediate decarbonisation policy priorities for the built environment and the longer-term decisions that they see on the horizon.
Panel:
- Bryn Pickering (Chair), Associate Professor, University of Cambridge
- André Neto-Bradley, UK Govt. Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ)
- Andy Hacket, Policy Lead, Centre for Net Zero
- TBC, Office of Gas and Electricity Market (Ofgem)
