Speaker: Dr Kelvin Kwok Associate Professor of Law, University of Hong Kong

Abstract: Businesses may come together to agree on a common set of environmental standards. These sustainability agreements are controversial from a competition law point of view. To what extent are sustainability agreements restrictive of competition, and should they benefit from legal defences? These questions will be discussed during the seminar, with reference to relevant guidelines issued by EU and UK competition authorities.
