Join Wolfson College in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of World Environment Day , in collaboration with Cambridgeshire County Council Waste Management team and South Cambridgeshire District Council. World Environment Day 2023 is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic pollution matters. The steps governments and businesses are taking to tackle plastic pollution are the consequence of this action.
Under the theme #BeatPlasticPollution, the event will have presentations from:
-Jon Crisp, Waste Education Officer, Cambridgeshire County Council Waste Team
-Birgitta Laurent, Recycling Coordinator - Greater Cambridge Shared Waste, Cambridge and South Cambs Waste Service.
The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion headlining:
-John Naughton - Senior Research Fellow CRASSH, Emeritus Professor of the Public Understanding of Technology at Open University, Director of the Press Fellowship Programme at Wolfson College and the technology columnist of the Observer.
-Adam Drewry, Account Manager (Commercial Waste), Greater Cambridge Shared Waste Service.
