The Shell sponsored poster session will take place after the lecture and highlight research in future energy challenges and its impact on society. The winner of the poster prize will be announced by Professor Lynn Gladden, Chair of Energy@Cambridge, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Research and presented by Andy Brown, Shell.

About the Lecture

Andy Brown will talk about long term energy challenges and how gas, engineering, innovation and technology will play a crucial role to tackle these.  He will look at the central role gas will play in creating a sustainable energy future and how various gas technologies have evolved culminating in some of the largest and most exciting engineering projects of our time.

About the Speaker

Andy Brown, Upstream International Director of Royal Dutch Shell plc and Executive Committee member, will present the 2014 Shell lecture. He joined the company in 1984 after completing his degree in Engineering Science at the University of Cambridge (Emmanuel College) and has worked in a number of senior roles across Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
