MORNING SESSION: call for PhD/postdoc speakers
Are you a PhD, postdoc or advanced fellow in energy materials? Are you a developer or an early user of a novel characterisation technique? Submit an abstract to the CAM-IES Early Career Workshop for a talk or poster! This is your opportunity to showcase your characterisation techniques to others in the materials for energy community. If you are working on materials for solar cells, batteries, electrodes, membranes, and other energy applications, and want to know about characterisation tools that can help your work, then this workshop is for you!
The morning session of this workshop is an opportunity for PhD students and Postdocs to give short talks and posters on novel characterisation techniques that they use in their research. If you think that your characterisation tool would be of interest to the broader energy materials community, please submit an abstract to promote your technique! Abstract templates and instructions are in the link below; the abstract deadline is 9 am, Monday 15 July 2019.
AFTERNOON SESSION: Career development talks
The afternoon session is presented by researchers who talk about how they got their research positions, and how to promote or commercialise your research. If you are thinking of applying for an advanced fellowship or lectureship, or think that you could commercialise your research ideas, register to attend to hear the career journeys of researchers just like you.

OUTCOMES OF THE WORKSHOP:
CAM-IES has networking funding available for early career collaborators in energy materials to engage with CAM-IES. Collaborators may visit labs, hold synergistic research meetings, and apply for funding for access to equipment from the Henry Royce Institute for key collaborative projects. More information on these opportunities through CAM-IES will be available on the day.
