Climate Change Policy - A Focus on Demand Reduction?

This seminar will consider the proposal that demand reduction strategies are a crucial part of climate change mitigation strategy.

The seminar will begin with an opening statement on demand reduction strategies from Professor Julian Allwood from Department of Engineering, to be considered by academics from theology, history, philosophy, politics, economics, health and education. Lord Richard Wilson will chair the discussion.

The aim is to generate new thinking on this important question and consider possible interdisciplinary research strategies to address it.
