Comparison of Air Pollution Trends and Policies in London and Beijing

The In Search of ‘Good’ Energy Policy seminars takes place every fortnight during term. There will be a sandwich lunch from 12pm with the seminar starting at 12.30pm. The talk is given by Prof Victor Li (University of Hong Kong) and Dr Jacqueline Lam (JBS, University of Cambridge and University of Hong Kong).

The speaker will present for around 30 minutes, followed by the respondent and then a Q&A session with the audience members.

A sandwich lunch is provided from 12-12.30pm in the Atrium of the Alison Richard Building before the seminar begins, which is open to all and no registration is required. If you are unable to attend the talk feel free to drop by for the lunch and meet the speaker. You can also send in your comments and questions to be posed to the speaker in advance.

The seminar is part of the In Search of 'Good' Energy Policy Research Group which focuses on energy policy from an interdisciplinary perspective. What constitutes a ‘good’ policy is conditioned not only by technology and financial factors but also by social norms and values, institutions, geopolitics, public trust and history.

The seminar series explores energy policy themes from different disciplinary perspectives - economics, history, philosophy, theology, politics, law, anthropology, psychology, engineering - with the aim of identifying principles and processes for ‘good’ energy policy making.
