Please join us on Wednesday 3 February (1–2pm, Zoom) for our next LH SIG panel discussion: Solar-powered Biology and the Production of Sustainable Chemicals
Abstract: Panellists will discuss the role physics and chemistry have in the production of biofuels and how synergies between these areas can emerge (i) to address basic science questions and (ii) to support the energy transition. They will explore the interface of photovoltaics, chemical catalysis and biotechnology to identify strengths and weaknesses of combined biohybrid technologies. Together with academic experts in each area, insights will be gained from industry and government stakeholders to provide realistic future scenarios.

The Green Careers Festival is returning in Lent Term 2023. Organised in collaboration with Cambridge Zero, the festival focusses on helping you discover possible career paths and opportunities in sustainability and environment-related organisations.
We'll have talks and events from a range of employers to help inspire you plan and develop your career in this fast moving sector.
Our flagship Green Careers Fair will take place in person on Tuesday 7th Feb 2023, 1-4pm. You'll meet representatives from organisations including the Environment Agency, Octopus Energy, BeZero Carbon, Woodland Trust and more.
Registration opens Tuesday 24th Jan at 9am.
