Speaker: Mathias Schnellmann, University of Cambridge

In this talk, we will set the context for Carbon Capture and Storage, give an overview of the technology value-chain from capture to eventual storage and finish with the current challenges and economic, political and business considerations. The session will finish with Q&A.

Mathias completed his PhD last year and currently a Postdoc researcher at the University of Cambridge, where he is focussing on Carbon Capture and Storage systems and technology options. His experience ranges from projects with Exxon Mobil to the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), where he is a board member and the Chair of Future Energy Leaders. Mathias also holds a BA and a MEng in chemical engineering form the University of Cambridge.
