Speaker: Lord Nicholas Stern

Lord Stern is the IG Professor of Economics and Government, Chairman of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the London School of Economics. He led the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change, was Chief Economist of both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank, the Head of the Government Economic Service at the UK Treasury. He was the Resident of the British Academy and is a Fellow of the Royal Society.

His lecture is the first in a new series addressing some of the great challenges our societies face in the 21st century, and exploring possible solutions. 

The lecture will be followed by a reception co-hosted by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) and the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute (UCCRI)
