This seminar will explore manufacturability challenges; observed challenges by research funders, academics and industrialists; and how being sensitive to these challenges can inform research project design, support industrial partner selection, and enhance research funding proposals. It will also consider candidate solutions and importance of planning for scale-up of researchers’ work.

In particular, the seminar will be an introduction to the topic, and working with Charles Featherston and his team as they take the programme forward. The focus of the work is on physical phenomena, with a view to bioscience and biochemical, in the future.
