Role of Market Forces in the Energy Transition

Speaker: Jules Kortenhorst, the CEO of the Rocky Mountain Institute

For the first 20-years of his career, Jules worked in the private sector, including for McKinsey and Company and Royal Dutch Shell. He then served as a member of the Dutch parliament before becoming the founding CEO of the European Climate Foundation, the largest philanthropic organization dedicated to policy development and advocacy on climate change in the EU. Jules currently serves on the Energy Transition Commission, and is the co-chair of the WEF Future Council on Energy. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is therefore keenly aware of how we can use our commercial skills for good.
