“The golden Age of the Oil and Gas Industry here to stay”

Is the oil and gas industry becoming extinct? Is its golden age of exciting
and highly paid careers over? “Certainly not”, according to Piran.
Piran’s career spans design engineering and project management to operations
and maintenance in the upstream, midstream and downstream
sectors of the industry. He has worked in northern and southern Africa,
Middle East, USA, Netherlands and a variety of locations across the UK.
His only career regret is to have never stepped on to an offshore installation,
despite designing many! He will give an overview of his career to
date and provide an insight into the variety of jobs available to Chemical
Engineers within the hydrocarbon industry. He will also discuss what motivated
him to remain in the industry and his vision of the long-term viability
of a career within the industry.

A sandwich lunch will be provided just prior to the talk to those attending.
