Reforming the Chinese Electricity Supply Sector: Lessons from International Experience

Prof Michael Pollitt, Chung-Han Yang and Hao Chen have released an EPRG Working Paper titled: 'Reforming the Chinese Electricity Supply Sector: Lessons from International Experience'.

This was one of the outputs from a trip to China and meetings with electricity industry stakeholders in Beijing and Yunnan. The objective of the trip was to ask research questions around the research proposal on evaluating Chinese power market reform in the light of 14 reform elements identified in the previous literature from a theoretical and empirical perspective. The financial support of the ESRC Global Challenges Research Fund and the Energy@Cambridge In Search of ‘Good’ Energy Policy Grand Challenge Project are acknowledged.
