Speakers: Dr Adelina Voutchkova-Kostal, the George Washington, and Director of the Sustainable Development and Green Chemistry Institute at the American Chemical Society

 

Dr Voutchkova will explore how the ACS Green Chemistry Institute is accelerating innovation in green and sustainable chemistry through: 
(i)   fostering knowledge exchange and cross-sector collaboration; 
(ii)  partnering with industry to drive the adoption of green chemistry and develop essential research tools and metrics,
(iii) training the chemistry workforce to create more sustainable processes, chemicals, and materials.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr Adelina Voutchkova-Kostal is the Director of Sustainable Development at the American Chemical Society. She joined ACS in 2022 from a robust career at the George Washington University as Associate Professor in the Chemistry, with a research focus on developing greener catalytic processes. She holds a PhD in organometallic chemistry from Yale University and a BA from Middlebury College. s.
