Scientific discussion meeting organised by Professor Julian M Allwood FREng and Professor Dierk Raabe.
Discussions on global warming and metal production suffer from a disconnect between environmental systems analysis which is technologically vague and materials innovations that cannot scale sufficiently to have meaningful impact. The meeting aims to nucleate a new research community focused on scalable solutions that will allow the global metals system to function with zero emissions by 2050.
